Ingredients

Roasted Soyato Curry
Roasted Soyato 200 grams
Cinnamon stick, star anise, bay leaf one piece each
Onion one large chopped
Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
Tomato one medium sized cut into small pieces
Potato one medium sized, peeled and cut into small cubes
Chilli powder 2 tbsp
Coriander powder 1 tbsp
Curry masala powder ½ tsp
Turmeric powder ¼ tsp
Coconut milk ¼ cup (optional)
Oil for sauting, salt to taste and coriander leaves for garnishing

Preparation

Roasted Soyato Curry




  • Heat oil (2 tbsp) in a kadai
  • Add cinnamon and star anise and bay leaves, saute for few seconds
  • Add onion and saute until it turns transparent
  • Add ginger garlic paste, saute until raw smell goes
  • Add cut potatoes and tomatoes, saute for 2 mins
  • Add in the chilli powder, coriander powder, curry masala and turmeric powder, saute until the raw smell goes off
  • Add 1 cup of water and bring to boil
  • To the boiling curry add the roasted Soyato and cook for 5 mins
  • Now add coconut milk (optional) and boil for 2 mins
The curry is ready, garnish with coriander leaves and serve with rice, chappati, parota, dosa ……
